Yoga by the River




Yoga by the River @ Rockwater Marina NLR creates more optimal movement patterns in your yoga practice and your everyday life. This slower-paced, flow-based class is appropriate for all levels of students--including beginners--who want to improve their mobility, free up tension in their body, and uplift their spirit! This is a special class and is not included with regular class packages or monthly unlimited. Check the schedule and purchase your $12 drop in to attend by clicking the button below. Inclement weather may force this class to be cancelled, your drop in will stay in your account until you want to use it for the next Yoga by the River class.

Chaturanga Clarity

Saturday 11/4 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Chaturanga is often made out to be more complicated than it is. Focusing on a few simple truths will bring clarity and control to your Chaturanga. In this master class we will review the relevant anatomy of the core and how it provides you with more stability in the shoulder joint. Deconstruct the motions of chaturanga and why it poses a challenge. Engage in drills to build strength and then apply your new knowledge to your chaturanga. Feel your core come alive as we break down this beautiful movement.

Hydrate Your Hips

Saturday 11/4 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Think you need to stretch your hips? More than likely, you need to mobilize them instead. Hydrating your hips means bringing in more synovial fluid for the mobility of the ball and socket joint. Doing so will help free up the fascia surrounding the hip, pelvis, and low back. Throughout the workshop we will explore the concept of how pelvic stability can lead to hip mobility. Improving your hip mobility will have positive effects on your knees and ankles as well. So let’s get moving!

Catch Some Air

Sunday 11/5 10:00am - 12:00pm

There is nothing more playful than getting on your hands. This masterclass will deep dive into the anatomy and biomechanics needed to invert either on your hands or forearms. We will utilize drills and wall work to help build strength and then move together to apply the skills with confidence. No matter what stage you are in your practice, this will be a joyful morning of moving together and defying gravity.
