John Willis is a teacher-in-training who began studying yoga while looking for relief from chronic pain, resulting from tendonitis and shoulder strain. Along with relief from his symptoms, John acquired the skills and awareness required to prevent further aggravation of his symptoms, and also developed a keen interest in the philosophical and spiritual aspects of the practice. He has studied with Matthew and Holly Krepps since 2001, and with many other acclaimed traditions in the United States. His interests in practice and teaching stem from the desire to help others articulate the deep understanding of one’s unique experience that is cultivated through yoga, which in turn cultivates more harmonious ways of relating in the world. John teaches basic classes at Barefoot, and will complete his certification in 2005.
